Requirements
- Practiced law for 5–7 years, in a law firm, in-house, or a combination of both.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Experience advising high-growth technology or SaaS companies on commercial and corporate legal matters.
- Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, vendor, and partner agreements.
- Ability to operate independently, managing a varied legal docket with sound judgment.
- Strong ability to partner directly with business stakeholders across functions.
- Experience in fintech, payments, B2B2C business models, or serving as product counsel is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Build and maintain contract templates and playbooks.
- Advise on regulatory questions and help mature multi-state regulatory compliance programs.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and facilitate relationships with examiners and regulators.
- Provide practical counsel on employment law and corporate governance matters.
- Manage outside counsel at top-tier national law firms.
- Serve as a trusted partner to Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Finance teams.
