Requirements
- Practiced law for 5–7 years, in a law firm, in-house, or a combination of both.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Advised high-growth technology or SaaS companies on commercial and corporate legal matters.
- Drafted, reviewed, and negotiated a broad range of commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, vendor, and partner agreements.
- Operated independently, managing a varied legal docket with sound judgment and minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Partnered directly with business stakeholders across functions, translating legal risk into practical, actionable guidance.
- Experience with fintech or payments company regulatory, compliance, or product matters (preferred).
- Experience working within a B2B2C business model (preferred).
- Experience as Product Counsel advising on product design and go-to-market (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs.
- Build and maintain contract templates and playbooks to support business speed and risk management.
- Advise on regulatory questions and help mature the multi-state regulatory compliance program.
- Facilitate and manage relationships with examiners and regulators across operating states.
- Support corporate governance and employment law matters in partnership with People/HR and outside counsel.
- Translate legal risk into clear, practical guidance for stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Finance.
