Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant public policy, political, or government experience.
- In-depth understanding of the policymaking process and government relations in the United States.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in state and local government affairs and advocacy.
- Skilled at persuasively advocating complex policy positions before diverse audiences.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
- Capable of managing time and deliverables in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute policy strategies to advance business goals in U.S. state and local markets.
- Identify and track proposed bills, regulations, and policy positions at the state and municipal levels.
- Work closely with sales teams to create new tailwinds and support adoption of technology through policy initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with governors, mayors, legislators, regulatory officials, and trade associations.
- Assist with filings, comments, testimony, and other legislative or regulatory inputs.
- Manage outside consultants to expand reach in key state markets.
- Collaborate on content creation, including collateral and blog posts, to articulate vision and values.
