Requirements
- 2+ years in provider-data management, payer/network operations, or revenue-cycle operations.
- Direct experience updating payer directories or network rosters (e.g., Availity, CAQH).
- Strong knowledge of Type 1/2 NPIs, NPPES, taxonomy codes, and telehealth designations.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, data validation).
- Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or no-code automation tools.
- Experience with UTM tracking, redirect QA, and product analytics platforms like PostHog.
- Strong quality-control instincts and ability to investigate edge cases.
- Excellent communication skills for managing payer escalations.
- Capacity for 20-40 hours/week as a 1099 independent contractor.
Responsibilities
- Own provider-directory accuracy and growth metrics across all contracted payers and networks.
- Build and maintain the authoritative source of truth for provider data including NPIs, taxonomy codes, and service locations.
- Reconcile provider data against NPPES, CAQH, and payer portals to resolve discrepancies.
- Audit directory listings as a patient would to identify and remediate visibility issues.
- Submit corrections through payer workflows and track until publication and verification.
- Partner with Growth and Engineering teams to build payer-aware landing experiences and funnel instrumentation.
- Build weekly reporting on directory health, conversion rates, and revenue impact.
