Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to finance or business, or an Associate degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience with government accounting operations, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Experience with Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) budget cycle activities.
- General knowledge of fiscal law and DoD appropriations.
- Experience in finance and accounting compliance procedures.
- Experience developing and implementing tools to track revenue and expenditures.
- Experience forecasting budgets for events and programs.
- Familiarity with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system or a similar system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Current Secret Security clearance or ability to attain a DoD Secret Security clearance or interim prior to start.
Responsibilities
- Track finances related to the day-to-day execution of the budget.
- Develop professional relationships with ISG stakeholders to understand needs and requirements.
- Provide reconciliation summaries of funds in Excel or other systems.
- Utilize government and commercial tracking tools such as Defense Agency Initiative (DAI), SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Support Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) CFR and G-TSCMIS budget estimation submissions.
- Monitor program costs, engagements, and activities to ensure targets are met.
- Track current year obligations including equipment, MIPR, travel, and contractor/FFRDC expenses.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contract coverage and funding.
