Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in new customer acquisition and business development.
- Strong knowledge of Independent Power Producers (IPPs), energy markets, and related technology landscapes.
- Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing new customer opportunities.
- Experience selling complex software, technology solutions, or infrastructure offerings.
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to define growth objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate customer value in competitive markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze market needs and business opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to identify, qualify, and capture new customer opportunities within the IPP market.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through market analysis, networking, and proactive business development.
- Apply structured sales processes to evaluate leads, convert prospects into opportunities, and achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunity status, forecasts, and sales progress.
- Establish relationships with customer executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with technical, marketing, proposals, and operations teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and budgetary requests.
- Analyze competitor positioning and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
- Travel regularly to customer locations to strengthen relationships and support development.
