Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in new customer acquisition and business development.
  • Strong knowledge of Independent Power Producers (IPPs), energy markets, and related technology landscapes.
  • Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing new customer opportunities.
  • Experience selling complex software, technology solutions, or infrastructure offerings.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to define growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate customer value in competitive markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze market needs and business opportunities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–40% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to identify, qualify, and capture new customer opportunities within the IPP market.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through market analysis, networking, and proactive business development.
  • Apply structured sales processes to evaluate leads, convert prospects into opportunities, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunity status, forecasts, and sales progress.
  • Establish relationships with customer executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with technical, marketing, proposals, and operations teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and budgetary requests.
  • Analyze competitor positioning and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Travel regularly to customer locations to strengthen relationships and support development.
