Requirements
- 7+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
- Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with a relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with LLMs and Generative AI best practices.
- Familiarity with AI development tools like Cursor or Copilot.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, and telemetry.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to build backends for member mobile apps and provider web applications.
- Deliver high-quality web application code, maintain site stability via code reviews, and implement unit and integration tests.
- Dedicate 80-90% of time to hands-on coding while mentoring junior engineers.
- Leverage AI tools in the software development lifecycle and integrate AI into existing systems.
- Lead large-scale projects by anticipating infrastructure needs and proposing innovative architectural solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to triage and resolve production issues.
