Requirements

  • Proven track record of managing sophisticated, high-stakes relationships (e.g., major donors, ultra-high-net-worth clients, board members).
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with an advisory mindset and high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to hold and synthesize large amounts of context in real time.
  • Interest in global health and development with the ability to engage in complex research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with comfort producing original donor-facing content.
  • Strong leadership skills to partner with senior staff and influence across teams.
  • Strong operational expertise in leading cross-team projects and building scalable processes.
  • Alignment with GiveWell’s values: truth-seeking, transparency, humility, and long-term trust-building.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex quantitative subject matter.

Responsibilities

  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with major donors to deepen their understanding of GiveWell's work.
  • Proactively identify relevant insights, data, and narratives from GiveWell research for donor decision-making.
  • Drive team-wide initiatives and projects, including learning journeys, playbooks, systems, donor events, and communications.
  • Translate research into original donor-facing content accessible to analytically sophisticated, time-poor major donors.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to GiveWell leadership.
  • Drive improvements to philanthropy culture, systems, and processes to improve scalability.
