Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in impact communications, funder engagement, or public relations.
- Experience in the political or renewable energy field is preferred.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for diverse audiences including funders, developers, and elected officials.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize inputs from multiple teams into cohesive narratives.
- Attention to detail with the ability to distill high volumes of information into clear, strategic communications.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Competency in utilizing CRMs such as Salesforce.
- Experience with web platforms like WordPress.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Must be available for regular travel within the United States for conferences, events, and staff retreats.
Responsibilities
- Follow key industry news to identify trends and draft LinkedIn posts and op-eds for the CEO.
- Track internal impact updates to develop a proactive communication plan for organizational wins.
- Identify and pitch speaking opportunities for the CEO and leadership.
- Prepare monthly impact updates for the Board of Directors.
- Develop creative visual content to demonstrate impact across social, email, SMS, and funder channels.
- Manage production and implementation of development communications, including newsletters and quarterly funder webinars.
- Collaborate with the Research and Experimentation team to communicate findings to key audiences.
- Support the development of press pitches and maintain media lists.
- Create white papers on impact and key learnings for rapid distribution.
