Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Alabama PE and Health Teaching Certificate
- Ability to clear a background check
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience supporting technology use for adults and children
- Experience with online learning platforms
- Ability to interpret student data to drive instructional decisions
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
- Personalize learning for all students while maintaining high expectations
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery
- Maintain accurate grade books and student academic integrity records
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families through regular, timely communication
- Support learning coaches and parents with curricular and instructional issues
- Travel occasionally, approximately 20% of the time, for school functions and professional development
