Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Iowa Department of Education Teaching Certification
- Ability to clear a background check
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret student data
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Receptive to ongoing coaching from administrators and teacher trainers
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
- Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery levels
- Maintain the grade book, ensure academic integrity, and make student placement and promotion decisions
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests
- Establish positive rapport and communicate regularly with families and learning coaches
- Support learning coaches with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting
- Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions
