Requirements
- Appropriate state Department of Education High School (9-12) Teaching Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
- Three years of successful teaching experience, including experience as a virtual teacher.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of state and charter school law, regulations, and State Performance Standards.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn specific student management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for training, professional development, and meetings.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the school leadership team.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor teachers, providing coaching and formal evaluations.
- Orient teachers, communicate requirements, set and enforce deadlines.
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of K12 curriculum and state standards.
- Conduct data-driven conferences and support teachers with curricular and instructional issues.
- Coordinate projects such as recruiting, teacher training, student-teacher matching, and testing readiness.
- Present and lead school department and team meetings.
- Travel for staff meetings and professional development.
