Requirements
- 4–6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of ASC 606 processes in a SaaS or software environment.
- Experience in private and public company environments or public-company-ready organizations.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close activities and audit management.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and CRM systems such as NetSuite or Salesforce.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Process-oriented mindset focused on workflow automation and operational efficiency.
- CPA certification preferred (active or inactive).
- Preferred experience with Big 4 public accounting supporting technology clients.
- Experience with revenue automation platforms like Zuora Revenue, RevPro, or NetSuite ARM is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly revenue close process including contract reviews, SSP analysis, and ASC 606 disclosures.
- Prepare revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit documentation.
- Partner with business operations to evaluate contract revenue recognition implications.
- Maintain internal controls and coordinate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automated workflows for revenue operations.
- Collaborate with business systems teams to ensure accurate data flow between CRM, ERP, and general ledger.
- Build revenue schedules, reporting templates, and automated monitoring tools.
- Prepare executive-ready revenue reporting and financial variance analysis.
