Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with geospatial software development (e.g., Rasterio, Fiona, Shapely, OpenLayers, GDAL).
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
- Experience with fast, iterative development cycles and shifting requirements.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% to customer sites.
- Must have a current active security clearance (TS or TS/TSI).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the full development lifecycle from discovery and decomposition to deploying bespoke solutions.
- Design and develop robust full-stack software including front-end, back-end, data integration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Work directly with customers to translate operational challenges into clear technical requirements.
- Identify reusable patterns in customer solutions to inform broader platform development.
- Leverage AI tooling to drive rapid iteration and deliver value quickly.
- Mentor other engineers, contribute to code reviews, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Deliver critical commitments on time to meet customer relationships and business objectives.
