Requirements
- Core/Vanilla PHP (7.x/8.x) with strong OOP skills (interfaces, traits, namespaces, dependency injection, SOLID).
- RESTful API design and implementation (JSON), including auth patterns and versioning.
- SQL mastery with focus on query optimization, indexing, transactions, and PDO best practices.
- MongoDB fundamentals, including schema design and performance basics.
- Front-end proficiency: jQuery, semantic HTML, modern CSS, and Tailwind CSS utility workflows.
- External API integration experience (OAuth, webhooks, retries, idempotency, error handling).
- AWS experience with Elastic Beanstalk, S3, DynamoDB, and environment configuration.
- Security expertise: input validation, CSRF/XSS/SQL injection prevention, and secrets management.
- Experience managing SSL/TLS and DNS via Cloudflare.
- WordPress CMS experience, including administration, theme/plugin interaction, or headless/REST usage.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
- Comfortable with Linux/CLI for diagnostics and automation.
Responsibilities
- Ship end-to-end features in a framework-free, OOP PHP codebase using namespaces, interfaces, traits, and SOLID principles.
- Design and implement RESTful endpoints with request validation, pagination, error handling, and versioning.
- Write robust SQL, optimize queries and indexes, and integrate via PDO with prepared statements.
- Design MongoDB schemas and aggregation pipelines for document-oriented use cases.
- Build and enhance front-end interactions using jQuery, HTML/CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
- Integrate external APIs, including OAuth/token flows, retries, idempotency, and rate-limit strategies.
- Manage AWS deployments on Elastic Beanstalk, S3 assets, and DynamoDB.
- Oversee SSL/TLS certificate management and DNS via Cloudflare.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions as a member of a pair-programming team.
