Requirements
- Proven experience building production Python backends.
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL (schema design, JSONB, migrations, multi-tenant patterns, query optimization).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS Fargate, Step Functions, S3, SQS/SNS).
- Strong proficiency with job queue architectures (e.g., Celery, BullMQ).
- Solid understanding of REST API best practices (versioning, error handling, OpenAPI).
- Ability to make architectural design decisions that scale.
- Ability to communicate effectively, ask questions, and provide feedback on technical designs.
- Bonus: Experience with LLM or AI agent integrations (Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic).
- Bonus: IaC experience using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Bonus: Experience working in regulated industries such as legal, finance, or healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend endpoints for matter creation, document ingestion, knowledge extraction, and draft generation.
- Orchestrate complex workflows using AWS Step Functions to handle document fingerprinting, audio transcription, and research.
- Manage multi-tenant PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, JSONB implementation, and query optimization.
- Integrate and orchestrate AI agents via Amazon Bedrock, ensuring context management and logging.
- Implement asynchronous job queuing using Celery, SQS, and SNS for system notifications and events.
- Enforce system security and auditability using KMS, Secrets Manager, and CloudTrail.
