Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education, with preference for candidates with an engineering background.
  • 10+ years of relevant technical sales and/or business development experience.
  • Proven experience selling premium-priced products or solutions within municipal capital markets.
  • Demonstrated success managing territories, developing sales strategies, forecasting, and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, opportunities, and customer relationships.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand complex customer needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Experience with UV, ozone, disinfection, or advanced treatment technologies is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, potentially exceeding 60% of working time.
  • Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to collaborate with technical and commercial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and business development activities for advanced water treatment solutions across assigned markets in the United States and/or Canada.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with municipal, industrial, consulting engineering, contractor, and channel partner stakeholders.
  • Identify customer challenges and recommend appropriate advanced treatment solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Manage opportunities through the complete sales process, including discovery, qualification, technical evaluation, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Partner with technical, commercial, and operational teams to develop compelling customer proposals and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and sales planning.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Represent the organization professionally through customer meetings, site visits, industry events, trade shows, and technical discussions.
  • Achieve and exceed sales objectives related to revenue, volume, profitability, and territory growth.
