Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an analytics or data engineer.
- 3+ years of experience working with Snowflake, ideally including performance optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and dbt.
- Experience with dimensional modeling, including building two or more dimensional marts.
- Familiarity with data orchestration platforms like Dagster or Airflow.
- Experience implementing CI/CD checks for data pipelines.
- Ability to work in an iterative manner and manage project complexity.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel to operational markets (e.g., Senegal or Côte d'Ivoire) at least once per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead dimensional design and structure data for human and AI end users.
- Build facts, dimensions, and One Big Tables (OBTs) in collaboration with domain partners.
- Standardize metric creation and usage across the organization.
- Manage and optimize the Snowflake analytics estate for performance and cost.
- Develop internal tools and dbt macros to improve the analytics development experience.
- Design, build, and monitor ETL pipelines as part of the data platform team.
- Champion data best practices and provide on-duty support for the data stack.
