Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance, operations, or regulatory function in a highly regulated industry (e.g., cannabis, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, or tobacco).
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing compliance programs.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic compliance initiatives across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and experience liaising with government agencies.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass all required background checks.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert on state regulations and collaborate with regional stakeholders.
- Develop, lead, and mentor a team of Market Compliance Managers.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, coordinate inspections, and respond to inquiries.
- Coordinate reporting and responses regarding regulatory issues like adverse events or recalls.
- Develop and implement regional compliance strategies aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Oversee compliance programs across retail and production operations.
- Partner with Government Relations to monitor and influence regulatory developments.
- Lead risk assessments and develop corrective action plans for compliance gaps.
- Conduct periodic site visits to validate compliance practices and operational adherence.
