Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in HR, Benefits, Leave Administration, Payroll, or related administrative role.
- Direct experience supporting employee benefits or leave of absence programs.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and other applicable employment regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience working with third-party leave or benefits administrators (preferred).
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.
- Manage the initial contact for leave of absence (LOA) and workplace accommodation inquiries.
- Partner with third-party leave administrators to monitor leave documentation, approvals, and status changes.
- Coordinate with Payroll to resolve pay issues, benefit deduction discrepancies, and timekeeping questions.
- Maintain accurate records and process transactions within the HRIS for benefits and leaves.
- Support HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and general policy inquiries.
- Perform audits, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure compliance.
