Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience developing Java-based software applications for product environments or equivalent experience.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, with Python experience considered a plus.
- 4+ years of experience designing and supporting highly scalable software systems.
- Proven ability to solve complex scalability challenges and optimize systems for growth.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering workflows.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
- Expertise in API development, REST services, and frameworks such as Jersey or Spring.
- Experience with relational database design and development.
- Experience with caching technologies, including Redis.
- Strong understanding of software testing practices and quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance platform capabilities through manifest-driven development approaches.
- Develop backend services using Java and Kotlin to enable extensible platform functionality and integrations.
- Create Python-based workers and services that extend platform value through third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform engineering teams to deliver strategic product initiatives.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure scalable, maintainable, and API-first solutions.
- Design and implement software systems that support high availability and large-scale usage.
- Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing logs, metrics, traces, and system behavior.
- Apply strong software engineering practices to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to technical decisions, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
