Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience developing Java-based software applications, particularly product-focused solutions.
- 5+ years of experience designing and supporting highly scalable systems.
- Proven experience solving complex architecture and system scalability challenges.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design practices.
- Expertise with API design, RESTful services, and frameworks such as Spring.
- Strong experience with relational database design, development, and optimization.
- Experience working with caching systems and performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of large-scale data processing, datastore performance, and asynchronous application patterns.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor other engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of large-scale Java applications and platform enhancements while maintaining strong engineering standards.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable software systems capable of supporting millions of endpoints and users.
- Influence architecture decisions by balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, technical debt, and business requirements.
- Solve complex system design challenges related to data volume, application performance, and distributed systems.
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using modern software engineering practices.
- Apply expertise in database performance, asynchronous application design, caching strategies, and client-server architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and improve product capabilities.
- Mentor engineers by sharing best practices, providing technical guidance, and helping establish engineering standards.
- Advocate for quality-focused development practices, including testing, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze operational feedback and proactively drive technical improvements that enhance customer experience.
