Design, develop, and maintain enterprise interoperability architectures for healthcare data exchange among VistA systems, COTS applications, and external healthcare partners.
Define and guide implementation of HL7 v2.x messaging, HL7 v3, CDA/C-CDA, and FHIR standards.
Ensure interoperability solutions align with the VA Technical Reference Model, One-VA Enterprise Architecture, and applicable federal privacy and security requirements.
Support development and implementation of generic HL7 interfaces for Text Integration Utilities and other VistA modules.
Participate in SDO and SRO activities, including standards reviews, ballot participation, and evaluation of emerging standards and vocabularies.
Lead development and coordination of design patterns, CONOPs, interface specifications, and technical recommendations.
Provide input on project tasks, milestones, and risks to the VA Enterprise Program Management Office.
