Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering with 10+ years of IT experience, or 18+ years of IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience supporting all RMF steps, security categorizations, and FISMA security documentation.
- Experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-53 security controls.
- Experience maintaining Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Experience creating plans for secure product installation in accordance with agency policy.
- Ability to analyze authorization documents and artifacts to identify gaps and establish remediation schedules.
- Ability to independently lead client-facing meetings and present complex ATO topics.
- Ability to manage and track large amounts of discrete data with various expiration dates across multiple systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and drive the completion of Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps 0-6 ATO activities and requirements.
- Identify and mitigate security risks and escalate project risks to leadership.
- Understand and apply VA authorization policies and processes.
- Maintain detailed security documentation for IT systems, networks, hardware, and software throughout the system lifecycle.
- Translate security concepts into actionable implementable solution recommendations for clients.
- Coordinate to execute ATO support duties for system installations in diverse environments.
