Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
  • State License as Physical Therapist
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • School and virtual school experience
  • Experience working with children
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Proficiency in use of technology
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents
  • National License: APTA (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional mobility and physical needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized physical therapy goals as part of the IEP process
  • Participate in case management responsibilities
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning sessions
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records
