Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails or 7 years with a similar framework (e.g., Spring, Django, Node.js).
- Deep understanding of designing performant data models with MySQL, including indexing and query optimization.
- Strong knowledge of SOLID design principles for architecture and interface boundaries.
- Empathetic, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly with a growth mindset.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is preferred.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails job systems like Sidekiq.
- Experience with Redis for in-memory data storage.
- Experience scaling web applications to handle thousands of users and millions of events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to understand customer problems and lead feature development.
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested code contributions and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Identify and address technical debt to improve overall system architecture.
- Design and build private and public GraphQL APIs.
- Lead technical explorations and develop proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Participate in the on-call schedule to troubleshoot core system components.
