Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
Deep understanding of concurrent programming and building high-performance distributed systems in cloud environments.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Java, C#, Go, or Python.
Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks.
Experience using AI coding assistants like Cursor, Codex, Claude, or Open Code.
Analytical mindset with the ability to validate technical decisions using operational data.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and make rational trade-offs between requirements and speed.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work across disciplines.
Experience with NoSQL databases, GraphQL, Kafka, or Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead technical design and end-to-end implementation of highly visible features while balancing security and performance.
Translate business strategy into clear technical specifications, serving as technical lead for multi-quarter initiatives.
Set the bar for code quality and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Utilize AI coding tools to plan approaches, decompose work, and improve development standards.
Define operational strategy and architect fault-tolerant, scalable systems with high reliability.
Optimize systems by simplifying or retiring legacy code to improve team velocity.
