Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Deep understanding of concurrent programming and building scalable backend systems.
- Experience working in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Java, C#, Go, or Python).
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks.
- Fluent in coding with AI tools such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, or Open Code.
- Ability to make rational trade-offs between non-functional requirements and delivery speed.
- Strong communication skills for building relationships and explaining technical trade-offs.
- Experience with NoSQL, GraphQL, Kafka, or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of highly visible, end-to-end features.
- Translate high-level business goals into clear technical specifications as a lead for multi-quarter initiatives.
- Set standards for code quality and review while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Utilize AI tools to decompose work and establish standards for monitoring and reliability.
- Define operational strategy and design highly fault-tolerant architectures.
- Simplify, consolidate, or retire legacy code to reduce complexity and increase velocity.
