Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, market strategy, or related commercial roles within data centers, industrial automation, electrical distribution, or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Proven experience developing relationships with contractors, engineering firms, EPC organizations, system integrators, consultants, and other data center ecosystem stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of data center project workflows, stakeholder structures, buying processes, and technical decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to influence specifications and participate effectively in design-build environments.
- Experience creating and managing account plans, stakeholder maps, and opportunity tracking processes.
- Strong pipeline management skills with the ability to track opportunities, milestones, and engagement activities.
- Technical knowledge of industrial automation, controls, PLCs, OT/IT convergence, electrical infrastructure, power distribution, switchgear, or backup power systems.
- Ability to influence outcomes across a large, distributed sales organization without direct authority.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet customers, partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Execute data center vertical market strategy including account planning, market positioning, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Identify and develop business opportunities through the full data center project lifecycle from planning to operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, engineering firms, EPCs, system integrators, and consultants.
- Engage project influencers early in the design process to influence specifications and increase solution visibility.
- Develop stakeholder maps to identify decision-makers and influencers within strategic accounts.
- Partner with sales teams and internal leaders to create and advance strategic opportunities.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and pipeline visibility across all active pursuits.
- Develop bundled solution strategies combining automation and electrical infrastructure to differentiate offerings.
- Represent the organization at industry events and monitor market trends to inform business strategy.
