Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience managing Federal/MILCON construction projects, with DoD and USACE experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering construction projects valued at $40M+.
  • Experience managing projects with significant electrical components.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contract structures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project cost management, forecasting, risk assessment, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced experience using Primavera P6, MS Project, and construction management platforms such as RMS and Procore.
  • Experience leading field teams and coordinating with government clients and contractors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining project quality and deadlines.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, or similar professional certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex federal construction projects, particularly electrical-intensive MILCON programs, from pursuit through completion.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and performance expectations to achieve client objectives.
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams across multiple disciplines and locations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to federal clients by maintaining proactive communication, transparency, and accountability.
  • Oversee project financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, scopes of work, costs, and performance to ensure successful execution.
  • Coordinate directly with federal agencies and stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain project alignment.
  • Support estimating activities, proposal development, and major federal project pursuits.
  • Monitor project metrics, compliance requirements, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify technical and operational issues in the field and implement effective solutions to maintain project progress.
