8+ years of relevant software development experience
2+ years of production experience in full-stack web development
Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, and Python
Experience building and maintaining GraphQL and/or REST APIs
Experience scaling relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and writing performant queries
Proven ability to independently decompose ambiguous problems into technical strategies
Track record of writing technical plans (tech specs/RFCs) for cross-functional initiatives
Experience leading and architecting large-scale projects
Ability to work cross-functionally as a technical partner to product and design teams
Experience mentoring and working within a distributed development team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Truly full stack product development with a slight lean towards the backend
Build and maintain GraphQL APIs powered by Python services (Django, Flask)
Implement web and mobile user experiences using React & React Native
Maintain HIPAA and GDPR compliance and general security
Independently write and execute technical plans (tech specs/RFCs) for large, ambiguous projects
Lead large projects in collaboration with design, product, and other engineering teams
Serve as the directly responsible individual from engineering on roadmap commitments
Mentor other engineers and provide technical code and project plan reviews
Participate in on-call rotations to drive investigation and remediation
