Requirements
- Portfolio of shipped consumer product work across web and native mobile.
- Demonstrated craft expertise in UX, interaction, motion, and accessibility.
- Experience planning and conducting generative and evaluative research.
- Deep understanding of modern product design, interaction patterns, and design system conventions.
- Proven experience building and maintaining design systems, rituals, and operational processes.
- Ability to work directly in code and design tools to prototype and contribute to production-quality interfaces.
- Strong strategic thinking skills to synthesize complex inputs into clear product visions.
- Experience managing, hiring, and mentoring high-performing design teams.
- Fluency in AI-native prototyping and iteration tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to share clear, persuasive design rationale.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments and navigating productive conflict.
Responsibilities
- Own the Registry experience end-to-end, including user flows, brand expression, and information architecture across the ecosystem.
- Lead with equal parts vision, strategy, and execution, setting clear product goals and strategy for the next 12–18 months.
- Define product excellence, setting the bar for quality and delight while coaching the team.
- Stay deeply connected to users by planning and executing research to ground design decisions.
- Model AI-first design by using AI-native workflows in daily work and helping define organizational rituals.
- Scale design democratization by building AI-enabled workflows that allow non-designers to contribute.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of designers, focusing on hiring, development, and retention.
- Collaborate across tech functions as a peer-builder to deliver high-impact work.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Consumer Tech organization's operating model and design craft standards.
