Requirements
- Proven experience as a design leader with a portfolio of shipped consumer product work across web and native mobile.
- Strong systems thinking ability and experience with design systems.
- Expertise in generative and evaluative research methodologies to guide product decisions.
- Demonstrated hands-on craft ability, including prototyping and building production-quality interfaces.
- Practical experience utilizing AI tools to accelerate design, prototyping, and iteration.
- Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing design teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex inputs and provide clear, persuasive design rationale.
- Adaptable to change, humble, low-ego, and biased toward action.
- Experience in cross-functional partnership with engineering, product management, and analytics stakeholders.
- Ability to define and evolve craft standards and operating models in an AI-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the Registry experience end-to-end, including user flows, brand expression, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
- Lead with equal parts vision, strategy, and execution, connecting design vision to company strategy.
- Set the bar for quality, delight, and product excellence by teaching the organization what great looks and feels like.
- Stay deeply connected to users by planning and executing research to ground design decisions.
- Model AI-first design by using AI-native workflows, shipping prototypes, and helping define new rituals.
- Build AI-enabled workflows to democratize design and empower non-designers to contribute.
- Hire, develop, retain, and organize a high-performing design team of 3–4 designers.
- Multiply team impact by partnering closely with engineering, product management, analytics, and marketing.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Consumer Tech organization's operating model, hiring bar, and craft standards.
