Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or complex high-stakes products.
- Exceptional taste and craft with obsessive attention to detail in typography, spacing, motion, and density.
- Strong information architecture skills to organize complex relationships into coherent systems.
- Ability to design the entire user journey, from entry points through failure states and recovery.
- Fluency in developer language, including services, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines.
- Deep understanding of failure states as a core part of the user interface.
- Proficiency in contributing to and maintaining a design system as product surface area grows.
- Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize ruthlessly under fast launch velocity.
- Clear, direct communication and collaborative approach with engineering and product partners.
Responsibilities
- Make a multi-service system legible at a glance by designing views that visualize inter-service connections.
- Design system-level observability for logs, metrics, and deploys across projects.
- Design cross-service deployment and rollback mechanisms to ensure safe shipping at scale.
- Consider and design all product states, including build errors, failed deploys, and empty states.
- Own the first-run experience from signup to the first successful deployment.
- Contribute to a design-led discovery track through concept explorations and weekly critiques.
