Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong expertise in enterprise cloud environments, operating systems, networking, and security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, REST APIs, and related technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and cloud-native deployment platforms.
- Knowledge of identity and access management, modern authentication protocols, and zero-trust security concepts.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, incident management, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Lead customer cloud environment implementations, migrations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term remediation strategies.
- Monitor cloud environments using telemetry, logging, and alerting tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Develop automation solutions for provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and operational workflows using modern infrastructure practices.
- Establish and improve operational standards, documentation, processes, and security controls across cloud environments.
- Participate in incident response activities, on-call rotations, disaster recovery testing, and post-incident reviews.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to engineers while promoting a culture of reliability and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, architecture, and customer-facing teams to deliver secure and effective cloud solutions.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, compliance initiatives, and strategic improvements across cloud platforms.
