Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a business development or sales role within the healthcare, insurance, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, developing and executing successful sales strategies, and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with healthcare benefits brokers, consultants, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable of healthcare plan administration and/or self-funded plans.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect for new business with brokers and employers through cold calls, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Schedule and conduct presentations to introduce the Valenz platform and tailor proposals to prospect needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of prospect interactions in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with account management, operations, and product development teams to meet client needs.
  • Monitor implementation of services through completion and ensure necessary legal documentation is filed.
  • Attend industry events and tradeshows to network and generate new business.
