Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of prior experience working or volunteering with animals preferred.
  • Prior experience in a busy office, receptionist, or administrative assistant role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate degree will be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional reliability and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pick up new tasks and systems quickly.
  • Personal smartphone (Android or iPhone) for phone system apps and texting.
  • Up-to-date laptop and reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Quiet, distraction-free home office space.
  • Availability to work varying shifts including days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule pet care reservations and arrange staffing coverage.
  • Respond to client and staff inquiries via email and telephone.
  • Maintain client management system records and cloud-based documentation.
  • Process invoices and client payments via credit, debit, or PayPal.
  • Manage team email inboxes to ensure timely communication.
  • Provide rotating holiday check-ins to monitor for client or staff emergencies.
