Requirements
- Proficiency in managing end-to-end multi-state US payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Experience with payroll tax filings (Forms 941, 940, W-2/W-2c).
- Familiarity with administering 401(k), benefit deductions, and equity compensation.
- Proven experience with payroll reconciliations and audits.
- Experience working within Workday Payroll or similar systems.
- Ability to support global payroll functions and process optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for payroll issues.
- Ability to collaborate across functions including People Operations, Finance, and Legal.
- Experience with payroll vendor management.
- Ability to develop and maintain SOPs and operational documentation.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end multi-state US payroll processing across multiple entities, pay groups, and payroll vendors.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time.
- Maintain strong payroll controls through regular audits, reconciliations, and validation processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholding and quarterly/annual filings.
- Administer regulated payroll components including 401(k), benefit deductions, equity compensation, and taxable fringe benefits.
- Perform regular audits within Workday Payroll to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Support the evolution of global payroll operations, including implementation and optimization of platforms like Deel.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve global payroll documentation, SOPs, and operational playbooks.
- Partner with Systems on Workday enhancements and payroll integrations.
- Assist the PX Operations team with Workday data management, lifecycle queries, and cross-functional projects.
