Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in grants management, fundraising, nonprofit development, donor communications, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, with experience creating persuasive grant proposals, donor communications, direct mail content, and stewardship materials.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, coordinate multiple priorities, and operate independently.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar donor management platforms.
- Ability to translate program outcomes, data, and constituent stories into compelling communications that demonstrate impact.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, and accuracy when handling sensitive donor and organizational information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leaders, fundraising teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to attend major organizational events, conferences, retreats, and team gatherings as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of major foundation grants, including proposal development, submission, reporting, renewal tracking, and compliance management.
- Write, edit, and refine compelling grant proposals and reports that align organizational priorities with funder expectations.
- Partner with fundraising professionals to review and strengthen regional grant submissions, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather relevant data, budgets, testimonials, and impact stories for grant materials.
- Maintain accurate grant calendars, databases, CRM records, and tracking systems to ensure strong portfolio management and data integrity.
- Monitor grant-related communications, manage incoming requests, and ensure key stakeholders remain informed of deadlines and requirements.
- Develop strategic communications from executive leadership to major donors, ensuring messages are clear, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage direct mail initiatives from planning through execution, coordinating timelines, approvals, and internal and external contributors.
- Support donor engagement activities by preparing materials, briefings, follow-up communications, and stewardship resources.
- Support major organizational events by coordinating donor communications, engagement materials, and relationship-building efforts.
