Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in grants management, fundraising, non-profit development, or donor communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, or a related area of study.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills to craft compelling grant proposals, donor messages, and direct mail copy.
- Highly organized and systems-oriented project manager capable of tracking multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to manage operational complexity with accuracy, discretion, and minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in using data and constituent stories to shape persuasive communications.
- Collaborative approach to working with senior leaders and supporting fundraising teams.
- Willingness to attend major BBYO events including Staff Conference and International Convention each year.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of foundation grants, including proposal preparation, submission, reporting, and renewal tracking.
- Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals and reports that align with funder guidelines and organizational priorities.
- Review and strengthen key regional grant submissions to ensure clarity and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate with program, finance, and other staff to gather data, budgets, and narratives for grant applications.
- Manage BBYO’s direct mail program, including planning, drafting, and coordinating approvals for five initiatives per year.
- Draft key communications from the CEO to major donors.
- Support donor engagement efforts by preparing materials, briefings, and follow-up communications.
