Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in field sales, territory sales, or retail account management.
  • Experience in consumer goods, outdoor/hardlines, or sporting goods is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sell-in, build rapport with buyers, and secure orders.
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Organized and self-directed with the ability to manage a multi-account territory.
  • Proven track record of hitting sales targets.
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight regularly.
  • Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent field sales experience is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Visit retail dealers regularly to build partnerships, land sell-in orders, and ensure Traeger is well-represented.
  • Present new products, seasonal assortments, and promotional programs to grow shelf presence.
  • Conduct structured pre-call planning and post-call recaps to manage territory goals and account data.
  • Train shop employees on product knowledge and enthusiasm to drive point-of-sale success.
  • Execute in-store events, weekend activations, and demonstrations during peak seasons.
  • Maintain high-quality merchandising standards using company-provided POP materials and displays.
  • Develop co-op marketing plans and monitor local competitive activity to surface business insights.
