Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in CAD, GIS, and the telecommunications industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and guiding employee career development.
- Proficiency with ESRI products including ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, and AGOL.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems such as M4, Visio, CadTel, CresentLink, or AutoDesk.
- Experience in Outside Plant (OSP) engineering documentation including Fiber Records, DWDM, and Gig Wave designs.
- Ability to understand scripting and coding for ArcGIS, Python, and data conversion (KML, CSV, DWG, Shapefiles).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and report on data from various sources.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Fiber Management Specialists to produce, maintain, and revise mapping records.
- Ensure the success of fiber network digitization and maintain data quality standards.
- Advise the team on best practices for data management and workflows.
- Develop business requirements for custom GIS applications for OSP Engineering & Construction.
- Assign work, assess performance, and provide training and career counseling for staff.
- Collaborate across internal teams and with external vendors to meet project goals.
