Requirements
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 1–2+ years of people leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, and developing team members.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience applying accounting guidance in a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Experience leading month-end close, financial reporting, and consolidation processes.
- Experience supporting a global organization across regions and time zones in a remote environment.
- Proven experience improving accounting processes, strengthening internal controls, and implementing scalable solutions.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- CPA or equivalent international accounting designation preferred.
- Experience with ERP implementations or system enhancements is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise the accounting team and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure IFRS and policy compliance.
- Manage consolidation of financial reporting packages across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Oversee statutory and local GAAP reporting and support internal and external audit activities.
- Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance Operations, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax to support business initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements within the ERP.
