Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in project finance, project accounting, FP&A, or related field.
- Experience supporting project-based organizations such as consulting, systems integration, or engineering services.
- Strong understanding of project profitability, forecasting, financial modeling, and cost accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience building financial models.
- Experience developing executive dashboards and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence operational teams and drive financial accountability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: Experience with project-based ERP and PSA systems.
- Preferred: Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, or Smartsheet.
- Preferred: Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and Professional Services operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial performance across Professional Services engagements, customers, and delivery teams.
- Monitor project gross margin, contribution margin, labor costs, and subcontractor expenses.
- Develop executive dashboards and financial reports to provide portfolio performance visibility.
- Partner with project managers to improve budgeting, forecasting, and margin management practices.
- Identify margin erosion, cost overruns, and financial risks to ensure project profitability.
- Develop project financial playbooks, templates, and reporting standards.
- Support strategic pricing decisions, labor rate development, and service pricing models.
- Establish financial governance processes to improve accountability and forecasting accuracy.
