Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytical data platform (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
- Experience building and operating containerized applications and deployment automation (e.g., Docker, Buildkite, GitHub Actions).
- Background in building internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience building system integrations including REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, and secrets management.
- Strong operational instincts, including experience with on-call, runbooks, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with semantic layer design, LLM-integrated platform workflows, or agentic data tools.
- Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform features covering automated provisioning, deploy pipelines, access control, and service lifecycle management.
- Build and maintain integrations between the platform and internal systems such as CI/CD pipelines, identity/secrets management, and external APIs.
- Operate secure data access patterns including RBAC, managed-access schemas, dynamic data masking, and cross-database grants.
- Identify and automate recurring support patterns like access provisioning and pipeline failures to enable self-service.
- Build telemetry, alerting, and log infrastructure to support platform observability and incident response.
- Participate in on-call coverage and triage production incidents across platform services.
- Design and build next-generation platform capabilities such as semantic layer infrastructure and agentic application patterns.
