Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in an analytics-focused role such as analytics engineer, data engineer, or analyst/consultant.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience using dbt within modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).
- Understanding of software development best practices applied to data, including CI/CD, automated testing, and version control.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Lightdash, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
- Strong data storytelling skills.
- Proven ability to work through complex, ambiguous business requirements with non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Consult with cross-functional teams to translate product and business processes into technical data requirements.
- Build and orchestrate data pipelines using dbt, Airflow, and Python.
- Develop and maintain the metrics layer to enable self-serve access to core analytics.
- Establish data integrity standards and SLAs for timely and accurate data delivery.
- Design and implement reliable dashboards to track core company metrics.
- Collaborate with business operations to train on data modeling and visualization best practices.
- Conduct statistical analyses to support business initiatives and student outcome research.
