Requirements
- Proven experience as a software engineer with a track record of success.
- Experience in a leadership position guiding teams in the delivery of quality software.
- Strong full-stack technical background, including design and architectural experience.
- Deep knowledge and experience in either Ruby on Rails or ReactJS is essential.
- Ability to operate effectively in an agile environment and lead teams through change.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for transparent team dialogue.
- Commitment to coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated drive to deliver impactful projects on time.
- Familiarity with building 0-to-1 projects from discovery through delivery (nice to have).
- Experience with AI tools and AI-augmented development (nice to have).
- Experience with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Manage a growing engineering team building 0-to-1 financial products in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces.
- Facilitate performance by helping team members master their crafts and setting individual goals.
- Act as a mentor and coach to empower team members' career development and growth.
- Remove roadblocks and establish guardrails to enable rapid, high-quality output.
- Collaborate with Product and Business Technology stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
- Shape technical direction and ensure platform reliability and performance as the product scales.
- Participate in recruiting and hiring to build a world-class engineering team.
