Requirements
- 5–7 years of full-stack software development experience.
- At least 2+ years of experience formally leading, mentoring, or managing other engineers.
- Production-level command of Python, specifically Django, Django REST Framework, and Celery.
- Hands-on experience building highly interactive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Redux.
- Solid proficiency with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design.
- Experience with Docker and AWS, specifically S3 and Lambda.
- Experience building or maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Comfort with asynchronous and real-time architectures including Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebSockets, and Redis.
- Outstanding written communication skills and a high degree of autonomy in a 100% remote, document-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated team of three, fostering professional growth and partnering with the SVP, Engineering on performance and talent acquisition.
- Set clear sprint priorities, distribute tasks, and maintain rigorous engineering practices including code reviews and CI/CD standards.
- Act as the primary technical liaison, resolving blockers and guiding the team toward high autonomy.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the current application stack through the upcoming platform launch.
- Own application support, incident response, and root-cause resolution for production issues.
- Maintain and refactor the existing codebase while documenting legacy systems.
- Partner with the new platform development team to align feature roadmaps and technical transition points.
- Participate in key deployments, schema changes, and data migrations to ensure service continuity.
