Requirements
- 5+ years in software test automation or software engineering with a strong testing focus.
- Strong coding skills in at least one of: Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Deep experience with a modern automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
- Solid API testing experience (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
- Comfort with SQL and database validation.
- Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Working knowledge of cloud (AWS) and containers (Docker).
- Experience using AI coding assistants or AI test-generation tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor).
- Comfort writing effective prompts to generate test ideas and analyze failures.
- A pragmatic, risk-based mindset.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the test automation framework and the standards other engineers will follow.
- Write and maintain automated tests across the stack: API, integration, and end-to-end UI.
- Prioritize automation by risk and value, favoring fast, reliable API-level tests over brittle UI tests.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD so they run automatically on every change.
- Drive down flakiness and maintain suite trustworthiness.
- Evaluate and apply AI-assisted testing tools and use prompt engineering to accelerate test creation.
- Review AI-generated tests and code.
- Mentor other engineers on automation practices and testing quality.
