Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, software quality assurance, software testing, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Extensive experience testing complex software applications and managing full testing lifecycles.
  • Strong knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, release validation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Proven ability to identify, document, and resolve software defects in collaboration with developers and end users.
  • Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools such as ALM, VersionOne, Rational, Mercury, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience creating quality documentation, including requirements specifications, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, particularly Playwright.
  • Ability to work independently on mission-critical programs and manage complex testing responsibilities.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced QA team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare effective test strategies and manage test data for each release.
  • Design, execute, and maintain detailed functional test cases, test scripts, and regression testing plans in staging environments.
  • Perform validation testing to ensure new features and updates do not impact existing functionality.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects across staging and production environments using defect management tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and technical teams to verify defect resolutions and ensure successful fixes.
  • Validate production deployments, configurations, and application functionality through smoke testing and post-release checks.
  • Prepare detailed quality documentation, including test coverage, results, release sign-off materials, and outstanding issue reports.
  • Communicate testing outcomes, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders while actively participating in release discussions.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using Playwright to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives across teams.
